WHEN THE BUNNY COMES

This year I made everything from scratch for the kids for Easter, using chocolate such as 90% Lindt,
Well Naturally brand of chocolate and homemade white chocolate.
Sugarless confectionery for the Be Smart "smarties" and their licorice for the chocolate licorice..

Easter egg hunt

Even the Easter egg hunt didn't get left out this year.. with over 15 half eggs,
shells 90% Lindt chocolate, filled with a few Be Smart smarties and,
Well naturally milk chocolate. Oh with a touch of pretty glitter to make it sparkle!

and.... this is for me HAHA!
The mumma of the house loves choc orange so I had some dried orange
from the dehydrator and added some orange cream oil from Bake & Deco
into the melted chocolate and of course some glitter too from Bake & Deco.

White choc pops

White chocolate pops, I used my white chocolate recipe located in the Easter eBook 2018.
In the lollipop molds I sprinkled freeze dried powdered mandarin  and glitter,
then I poured the melted chocolate into the molds and placed sticks into them and set them in the fridge for several hours.

A cool way to join your chocolates together,
a tip I learnt over time laying down non stick baking paper on a baking tray and
placing into the oven on 150 degrees Celsius for 5-10 mins.
Pop out of the oven place the Easter egg halves flat onto the hot tray for a few seconds
until they slightly melt then join the two halves together and let it set.

This one is for hubby, he's been a good boy this year so the bunny made him some licorice chocolate.
I used 90% Lindt chocolate added some licorice oil and chopped up sugarless licorice pieces.
Hubby's favourite is licorice.

We made these cool little eggs melted 90% chocolate and popped some pop corn
into them and added more chocolate.
The kids will love these, it's different and a bit of fun.

You can never get enough of chocolate pops,
we made these ones with 90% Lindt chocolate added some dehydrated dried fruit pieces
and some glitter we will wrap them then put them in the Easter egg hunt!

It's actually quiet alarming how much sugar is in commercial chocolate,
so this year we wanted to make all our own.
Making chocolates was fun, easy and basically costs around the same price you would buy Easter eggs for anyway,
but contains less sugar and you can do so much add oils, glitter, dried fruits, nuts, seeds etc.
..
For the sugarless brand Be Smart smarties and the licorice I purchased from Maxi Foods
and little independent local supermarket and they also sell them at Darrell Lee.
